New shark in Atlanta
I just want to thank everyone for the recommendations for mechanics in Detroit and Atlanta in the help with buying my now newly purchased Shark Jeff Jones, at Automotive Techniques, was a great guy to go to in Detroit for a PPI. The car, an '88 S4 triple black 5-speed with 82K, over-all was in great shape and I am still grinning from ear to ear with the new addition to the family. The drive from Detroit to Atlanta was a great bonding time...although, I recommend you don't follow to close behind Ford F-350 diesel(turbo-charged) trucks as they put out an enormous amount of black smoke when they want to put some rapid distance between themselves and the Shark behind them...not to be out done of course, I had to respond to his decision to choke the @#$% out of me, not to mention polluting my new shark as well, so I dropped to third and rapidly caught and passed the beast..last I saw going through 110 mph and accelerating. This took place on I-75 just north of Knoxville Tennessee.
Again thanks and happy and safe motoring!!
Got home with no tickets

Congrats, welcome to the club.
But, not to be a **** head.....when you say "triple black". That refers to a black exterior, black interior, black top. The 928 was never a convertible. So black on black works, but triple black......no dice. Just an FYI. If you say that to a muscle car guy, they will laugh at you i imagine.
I see your already a member, you will find rennlist to be the greatest investment in the 928 world.

Welcome to shark ownership Tim! Sounds like you've already enjoyed the experience.
You'll have to mark your calendar for Nov. 2nd-4th for our Sharks at Daytona gathering in conjunction with Rennsport Reunion III. We hope to surpass our 28 sharks we had in Feb. at our Sebring Shark Shiver. Besides many Fla. Sharkers, already have commitments from 928ers from Georgia, the Carolinas, Texas & Ohio! So far, should be at least 6 sharks from Georgia alone. Good group to caravan down with. Rennsport is a worldwide Porsche event, held only every three years, with this being only the 3rd ever event. I tell people when I went in '04, it was like dying & going to Porsche Heaven. Some of us will also will gather Oct. 13th-15th at Daytona for the OktoberFast PCA race too. Perfect chances for you to show off your shark & meet some fellow 928ers in person.
pm me if you are interested & I can add you to our email list to receive more info as its sent out.

Thanks for all the congrats... even the one that showed my ingnorance about names I will gladly own up to my lack of computer savy, which is why I haven't posted any pictures yet. Why can't you just upload one picture rather than an entire file? I always get the "file is too big" message...don't go there I asked for help from the manager, but no response as of yet. Any suggestions?!

Hi Tim. the pics have to be about 40k(?) maximum size. There are a slew of ways to resize them, either programs that come with digital cameras or even MS Paint can be used. What do you have?
BTW, any car guy that would laugh at the misuse of 'triple' would probably laugh at alot of stuff, he would be a comic's dream!

On the opening 928 screen, lower left, click on "Support", click on "Help Forum" and you will find a list of "how to's" that will make you an expert in using the features of the site. Good luck.

I have ms paint and a HP software that can be used, however, I haven't mastered the technique of picture resizing. The original pic is 1.08 megabytes...I am having no luck with these programs reducing it to below 200kbs, which Rennlist says it must be.
Still trying!
