Post window motor / outside temperature sensor

This weekend I took my window winder motor out. The window didn’t move a centimetre. It became obvious why, after I opened up the motor. It was all stuck with dirt, moist and greace, mostly on the carbon brushes and the collector. I cleaned it all up by using contact spray and blowing it off with compressed air. Greased up the cogs and axle ends. And I carefully sanded the collector of the motor by putting it in the standing power drill. Replaced the broken seal by some silicone paste.
When putting the motor back in again I also greased up the winder mechanism.
The result is amazing. The window goes up and down twice as fast as the other window. I guess it was this way it was when it was new. Knowing this result I’ll do the other one shortly as well.

Oh yeah, one question. I took the door open for 3 reasons; the window motor (been there), the mirrors weren’t moving (done that; repaired the switch) and the temperature sensor is stuck on –40 degrees C.
In my car the outside temperature sensor should be in the mirror. I looked at the wiring diagram and it shows a outside air temperature sensor with to yellow leads. That probably is the one under the hood, because I didn’t see any yellow leads in the door. Anyone can tell me the lead colours?

Andre,

There are two "OUTSIDE TEMP, SENSORS". The one you found is for the HVAC system with two yellow wires.

Look on sheet 4 D21. This is the one in the mirror. Wires are BL/GN and BR/GN. Connector T3.

Thanks Glenn, I'll look it up. I think PO had a new door put in because all the wires had been cut. I'll be on the lookout for a multi poled connector. That's more secure than some tin and tape.
