Post headlight...no beam...no motor

Just swapped fuse/relay panel from my wrecked car over to my project car. Took all my relays and fuses with it. I trust little in the project car.

It has improved a few things...BUT...my headlights are completely INOPERATIVE...no motor...no light. Replaced the relay for the motor....still no motor. Replaced the relay for the fuse....still no light...hi beam or low. No go when I manually raise the lights either.

Wondering if I disturbed something in a wiring harness...as the lights did function before. Which one of our lettered friends might be carrying that power? Any other ideas? I am in the dark.

Do you have power at the fuse panel for each of the lights? Check above and below the fuses.

It may not apply but my lights died, at night, at a gas station, halfway between Kansas City and Des Moine. I shut them off while still "up" and when I started the car, no lights. For some reason, the switch that tells the motor that the lights are both up or both down wasn't tripped.

I loweed them by hand and gave each one a final push until I hard a "clunk". Then they worked fine. - Ruf
