Hi Sharks,
Does anyone know of an alternative sealant for the side rear window? The caulk gun compatible tube of Wurth Klebt + Dichtet OEM sealant was cured solid when I opened the cylinder. At about $25 a tube, couldn’t I substitute $3 worth of clear silicone caulk?

I found some Permatex black silicone, and used that. I used a plastic coated wire – mostly made of plastic with a few strands of wire at the core, about 1/8” in diameter – to pull the seal over the lip. I used some dawn dishwashing detergent along the lip to let it slip easier. With someone pushing from the outside, it went in as smooth as silk, in just a few minutes. I used a plastic knife all around the outside to seat the seal.
