Post Valves and springs

Can anyone recommend (or NOT recommend) SI valves for the 928? Also a good source for valve springs? Pelican wants $62 A SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seems high? And a source for the liners (iron? steel?) in the exhaust on the heads (1980 4.5L US), or can they even be replaced?

There is no liner in the exhaust port on the heads. It is as cast aluminum.

Try Engine Builders Supply or Vertex for the parts. Both are easy to work with and seem to have the best prices.

You can de-valve the head and use gasket remover to get rid of the years of carbon deposits in there. Worked like a champ for me.

Ok, thanks. I guess it is all the years of deposits that made it look like nasty rusted iron!!! Did you use OEM valves?
