Post computer dash 1990

Hi all,

Im wondering if anyone has any experience diagnosing and replcing the dash computer on a 1990 928 GT.. I had a harness touch a belt in the engine compartment....then the dash started blinking.....now completely out..repaired the harness..and am getting a .75 ampere constant drain on the battery.....I suspect the computer dash the problem but want to be sure before buying a new one. VERY COSTLY..... any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Joe

Porsche issued the following manaul. ( which I no longer have ). As I recall it was issued specifically for testing.

I still see a couple of people selling Porsche manuals like this on ebay or better yet maybe someone on this board has a copy.

Did Porsche have one of those manuals available for the '88 instrument cluster?

This is the only specific instrument panel Porsche Manual that I have ever seen. Most have part numbers, maybe you could look there.

Oh, they did make a video also but for an 89. I watched it ( no longer have it either), was about 18 minutes and sure made me think I was missing a lot on my 87.
