Post Cayenne on Yahoo

The opening page on Yahoo has an ad for the Cayenne. Clicking on it launches a 35 second video commercial.

Not sure if the ad appears for everyone or is rotated with other ads, but it's there.

Today's USA Today mentions the Cayenne. Says it will be available as a late 2003. Base price $58 up to $98K for Turbo.

Says internet feedback is unfavorable toward the design and that they may change it slightly for the US market.

A Porsche rep. gave a presentation at Devek Days about the upcoming model line-up, mostly taking about the Cayenne. He said they planned to have it on the market here in Jan or Feb 2003.

I saw the USAToday article, too. I'm not aware of that many Porsche web sites out there, and none that are as heavily used as Rennlist and perhaps Pelican. When USAToday refers to negative internet opinions, I'm guessing that this site's discussions are involved, although they could just be referring to the numerous editorials saying the Cayenne is fugly.

Many of us at Euro 928 2002 saw several Cayenne on the roads around Weissach but too fast to get an upclose picture. I managed to get a couple pictures of the Cayenne screaming around the Weissach test track. It was hauling *** around the track making some awesome sounds and nobody could see what the hell it was. The we walked to where we could get a glimse of the track and there she was. BWAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH BWAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BWAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. As soon as the CD with all my pics I stored on Kempf's computer arrives, I'll post the spy photos I got (wish I'd had a telephoto lens). It was pretty cool to see in person.

Regards,

Yes, I caught this one today for the first time (before I had seen this post).
I'm afraid there is nothing Porsche can do to interest me in this vehicle.... nothing !!!
Too ugly, too expensive.... maybe I'll like their pick-up truck more - but I doubt it....
