Ive finally joined the rock steady idle club

Doesn't one of the other cables on the bracket signal the fuel injection system that the throttle has returned to idle position? My mechanic said that if the throttle cable is adjusted to raise the idle revs, for example, the other one has to be adjusted to signal the idle position. I'm still learning so I might be way off base here...

Ok, update.
In my case, this was so simple that even rennlist didn't catch it.
I yanked the spring and toyed around with the assembly.
There is a plastic screw adjustment on the back of most of the cables. Look and you will see what I'm talking about. I decided to mess with those and what do you know. When I screwed the idle cable inward, it made enough tension on the cable that it clicked the idle switch as it should.
I'm going out on a limb, but if you do some adjustments with that, the problem may be solved quickly, and with out the help of a spring.
After I was done, I really felt like kicking my own *** for how easy that was, and that I wasted 6 months hunting something that simple.
