Post Broken Fog lamp replacement?

Hi there,
Some A$$h*le has kicked in my foglamp (87-95) which is on your left when facing the car.
In a technical point of view would this be the left or right of the car?

Also does anyone have one forsale or know where i can get one at a good price?

Also how would i go around replacing it?

The grey plastic which holds the light... the screws rusted in there and when trying to remove the screwes the plastic itself broke

Any help appriciated

thanks

That would be the right side of the car, sparkster.

Most orientation references are from the POV of the driver sitting in the left front seat.

Any of the Big Three should have what you need...

Yo Sparkster - If you want good and used, try 20th Street Auto Parts in Phx. 6022582020 is the Parts line. 18009994911 toll free Line. He has about 35 928s sitting in his yard. (What a shame)

PS - Make sure you ask larry (owner) to email you a picture of the replacement lens prior to purchase. Just to be safe.

same thing happened with mine, the rusted screws broke off. so you have to replace the entire assembly, (lens and housing). new about $300.00US each.

when you put it together put a little grease on the screw threads and on the rubber gasket...

Randy,

Wouldnt it be safer to say
"Most orientation references are from the POV of the driver sitting in the car"

irrespective of whether its LHD or RHD? It doesnt change the l/r view, just the driver or pax side terminology.
Do you know if Sparky's car in Malta is LHD or RHD? I certainly dont.
jp being pedantic, with a RHD in a LHD country, but not for much longer.

Not pedantic from my POV, mon jp and well stated. My first thought was 'are you standing in front of or behind the car when facing it' (although that would be silly in THIS case).

Drewster: thanks for the supplier info.

Thanks all,
Just to clear somthing up:

My car is Right hand drive

Also does greasing the screws help prevent rust and if yes should i put grease on all new screws/bolts i put on the car.

And is there a way of removing rusty screws with out breaking them?
WD-40 dosnt seem to work well...

thanks!

Ya got me there JP - you're right. Guess I was overthinking the LHD vs. RHD thing.

Yes Sparky, using grease (or antisieze compound) should help.

WD-40 is not a penetrating oil - you need to use something like Liquid Wrench or, my favorite, PB Blaster.

i mentioned grease specifically because it'll act as a moisture barrier, with the lights exposed and all. not sure antisieze would hold up over time...
