Hey all got a quick question for you........got my axel out of the 84 and forgot to get inner and outer gaskets for the part that goes on the diff. Can I use a silicone bead on both sides? Or should I wait and order the gasket???

IIRC that gasket is pretty thick (>1/16") and goes in a cavity on the joint, so I doubt that silicon would do the job there....This is the knobbly round one ~3.5" dia, but only 1/4-3/8" wide?
