Default drivers power seat

I need a little help.. My drivers seat has been stuck in which the position is that the seat is furthest away from the gas and break pedals. I have determined that it is not the fault of the motor that the seat will not move forward. I removed the two linkages from the motor that drive each of the screws that move the seat and tried to turn them by hand/vice grips. Each of these linkages would not turn at all. I tried placing a force on the back of the seat while trying to turn them and that did not help at all. I have read somewhere that from time to time this happens and it has something to do with a rubber washer. With the seat positioned at it's maximum height I still have no way to access these rubber washers. Can anyone provide any suggestions on how to fix this issue.

Have you tried moving the seat with the hex crank from the tool kit? Or you can use I think a 4mm hex socket and ratchet to try and move the seat. Once you can move the seat you will access to the hex bolts that attach the seat rails to the car, then you can remove the seat and look for the problem.

The issue at hand is that the seat will not move forward at all as I mentioned above I have tried to hand crank the seat which is the same as using the tool but as I did not want to break the teeth to the gear I removed the flexible linkages and tried manualy turning. Removing the seat as suggested would require that the seat be moved all the way forward to get to the four remaining screws (two within each rail) located in the back part of the rail. I am really stumped and would like to get this fixed, any suggestions
