Post Tire pressure sensors

I took my Design 90 wheels off my '91 and put on Strosek Monoblocs. Of course, my tire pressure light is constantly on now. I've heard that there is someway to bypass this sensor. Can anyone shed some light on this?

BTW, I went with Yokohama ES100 on the rims and, as someone previously said, they pick up everything on the road. They're certainly quiet tires but the wheels wells are being bombarded by sand/road debris. Of course, they only have 5 miles on them so I'll give them some time!

Thanks,

locate the RDK brain box part # 928 618 150 00 or 01 under the dash near the steering column . disconect the plug ; jumper pins 2 and 13 ON THE PLUG ....leave unplugged . You will never see the tire pres warning again .

The RDK unit is on the side of the footwell in front of the front door. It's fastened with two Phillips head screws. Be sure to disconnect the ground wire from the battery under the tool kit before you unplug the RDK. I hope you're very small, or very limber. It's a bear to get at. You'll want to use a zip tie to tie the plug out of your way after you have the RDK unit out.

You guys make it sound simple!

Jim, do I have to place a jumper between pins 2 and 13? Electricity has never been my friend. What do use for the jumper?

Thanks,

I used a length of isulated wire that fit the pin holes with some friction. I then used electrical tape to close it, mostly to keep dust and moisture out. YMMV.
