Supposedly my GT had a short shift kit installed by the PO. I haven't driven another GT w/o the kit so I really can't say how much better it works. All I know is the shifter does have an annoying squeak which I can't quite seem to isolate. Anyone else have this problem with their 5-sp?

Mike and I met up today for an early morning drive - thanks Mike! I checked out the shorten shifter and the throw is noticably shorter - especially the 3 to 4 shift. This is a no cost/low cost modification that dramatically improves shift feel.
