Post '79 Headlight motor wiring connection

There is a four wire connector that powers the headlight motor. Can anyone tell me which wires go to which terminals?
The connector is numbered one thru four. After pulling the motor, replacing the relay, disassembling the motor, I feel it's time to get some of your feedback.

from the 928 intl catalogue:

1=brown/red
2=white/black
3=yellow/green
4=red/black

first colour-body of wire, second colour-trace or narrow line. I seem to recall mine were not correct when I got it with a failed relay. If this arrangement doesnt work, try reversing the order of 2 and 3. Also suggest you arrange for the connector to more accessible just in case, rather than hidden behind the motor....

That didn't work either. I have swapped two relays now, and still no results.
The motor DOES work. If I put 12 volts on it, it turns.
