Just curious to know why the race ended here. Perhaps he knew he had you 0-60 but not for long thereafter.

Not to butt my 968 head in here but wouldn't the best way to get those 928's faster is to lose the minivan weight? I'm sure there is extra plastic bits and heavy exhaust pipes that could improve your speed off the line.
PS I am having no troubles with any of the cars listed except the C5 Z06's and better vettes. It's nice when you can beat a C5 convertble off the line and down the road.

sorry but 928's aren't nearly as fast as we like to believe
well then get used to losing.
I KILLED a euro 5 spd when I was driving my girlfriend's stock Accord. There were 3 passengers in the Honda, 2 in the 928. It was so embarrassing to me, because I've been a 928 enthusiast for years. I actually had to lift off the pedal in order to allow the screaming catless 928 to keep up. The 928 driver is well known for his lead foot and crazy stunts. He certainly used every hp he could out of his car.

This advice was based on you not wanting to spend money to improve performance enough to beat an accord....all the while insisting on racing a faster car! No one here wants to lose, but if you insist on racing an accord, I refer to what Andrew said: "If you wanna play, you gotta pay". That is why I've spent silly money on 928's in the past 12 years...

I just want my lovely OB to a be a force to be reckoned with, and remain as close to stock as possible.

I remember the accord ride with ya Tarek.. the problem I had was how smooth and quiet the car was ..there was no real emotion from that car like in a 928. That euro sure sounded awesome. For some very minor improvements.. Look at your exhaust, as I will be doing soon with my 79. You may also improve very slightly on knowing when to shift. A dyno run should tell you if your tuned the best..and where your cars torque is maximized... also try some high octane gas..100+....how about some GTS Mirrors

Put a straight pipe on - The sound alone will scare the "#$*&" out of him. Ok - drop 700lbs from your car, read this link - become a wheel to wheel racer and log "Reverse Kills" on your dash.

If what you want to do is beat cars off the line in a 928, you'll want a GT, and probably an SC. Lower gearing and 400 HP should do it. The purchase price and maintenance costs are probably equal to the down payment and monthly payments on one of these.

Then you could beat most takers in a station wagon.

I don't think there's a blower solution out there that will give you 500RWHP and allow you beat all those Accords.
I truly beleive that NOS is your best solution. I think it;s the only way that will give you an additional 150~200RWHP for short bursts.
