Indiglo dash ?
Has anyone got the status on the reverse indiglo dash guages? Also, will one of the options look like this?

This is from the new vette, I actually like it quite well.

Jeery,
If I remember correctly, in order to see your gauge pointers with the reverse indiglo, you will need to use your existing instrument lights in addition to the backlighting. You may want to re-read the other posts on this subject to make sure.

The Corvette gauge "needles" or "pointers" are powered and illuminated, which results in the excellent high-contrast appearance that you see in the photo.
Be aware that these aftermarket kits "in the works" *DO NOT* have the facility to accomodate this, as modifying and recalibrating the gauges themselves would be required. The aftermarket kits for the 928 will *NOT* look like the Corvette dash in the photo.
As DG84S mentions above, you will still have to use your existing factory gauge lighting to be able to see the needle position clearly. Be aware that the factory pod lighting will very noticeably REDUCE the high-contrast appearance that you see in the Corvette dash photo.... so don't expect the same visual result during night-time driving!
I'm waiting until someone posts pictures of a totally finished, complete installation of the reverse-indiglo package before I make my decision on ordering an aftermarket kit. If someone can overcome the "lighted gauge needles" problem (while leaving the gauge centers "dark"), I'll have my Visa card out immediately!

The indiglos -WILL- look like the ones pictured.. maybe better. He was asking about the gauges, not the needles. You can keep you existing factory lighting so the you can see the needles even better.
1. If can see your gauges -clearly- at night, it's in better condition than 99% of the 928s.
2. There is no need to recalibrate the gauges. These are not new gauges, they are just gauge faces. 3. The actual gauge face lights up. 4. You will not need to remove your needle to install(it will "slip over").
If you see these gauges in person, you will soon realize that they are very impressive and the vettes "old style" lighting can't compare. I know of two Corvettes that have had these gauges installed for improved contrast at night.

Hi Paul,
The only thing I have on "how to make" is this:
<a href="http://russ.angrypacket.com/howto/carstuff/diy-indiglo-gauges/index.php?" target="_blank">do it yourself indiglo gauges</a>
It describes how a guy made his own for a Celica.
Not sure if it's really what you're looking for.

My reply was to DG84S (I included his quote), who specifically references the "gauge pointers" illumination - or lack thereof without the pod lighting.
The website for the company making the reverse-indiglo gauge faces for the group purchase you are assembling is:
<a href="http://www.speedhut.com/dialcolors_reverse.htm" target="_blank">http://www.speedhut.com/dialcolors_reverse.htm</a>
When I move the mouse across the gauge faces on this webpage, I don't think that any of these have the same look as the 2003 Corvette in the picture of the original post. And they won't without an illuminated needle. That's just my opinion. Please don't interpret it as discouragement to anyone looking at your group purchase plan.
In this case, I'm just "calling it like I see it".

Since Wiessach has actually installed the indiglos in his car, unlike the rest of us, I will stick with his assertions. Everyone elso on here has never seen them and are just offering heresay or their opinions. Thanks Wiessach for all your energy on seeing this through. I still believe that the right combination of existing guage lighting and the reverse indiglos will be perfect. We will find out.
