Default Clutch Intermediate Plate Q

Whats the differance between a
Clutch Intermediate Plate on a 80-83, and the 84-86 ?
Are the interchangeble?
Look the same in picts/book.

'84+ need to be set in certain way as it contains trigger for TDC info. To force plate to only one position one of the centering pins is larger diameter that other two. Newer plate can be used in older cars easily.

Answer is from top of my head without cheking from anywhere so proceed with caution.
