Don, There is a great shop in Northern NJ, if you can get the car here, they will go over the whole thing for you, and give you the exact condition, and what might need to be done to it as well. If you would like the name, or just want someone to talk 928's just let me know. I agree whith NJ SHARKFAN about the mileage, these things are work horses, IF you take care of them. Good luck, you will do fine.

Lot s of advise and a LOT of reading to do, who needs sleep. I've actually been looking on and off for a couple, no a few years, and since I can't shake the desire to have my own I started getting serious. Greg and Mike, I'm located near Fort Dix, retired from the Air Force and just stuck around. Greg, the Euro I'm looking at is near the Tapanzee bridge. Are they close?

Thanks ... time do do more reading,

Don

Don,

You may know some people my dad knows. He retired from the 170th refueling group at McGuire AFB a couple of years ago. I think he knew some people with the fighter wing and transport outfit as well.

Anything in the tri-state area is close enough IMO. I got mine in MD, many travel cross-country to look for the 'right' one. Good luck and drop me a PM if you need anything.

Be sure to take the advice about having someone with 928 knowledge survey the car before
you lay down cash. These animals can eat away at your bank account with a vengence.
The newest 928 is now 12 years old, the oldest 29- obviously there will be issues with just
about any one you find, but a good PPI can minimize the pain. Also, don't settle for an
auto if you really want a 5 speed- I did and wish I hadn't. Good hunting!
