HELLO...I'm new to this and I need some help...I have a 79 with a 5 speed I just brought home on Sunday...Everyone on these post's seems to know so much about 928's.I hope to be able to help someday too.. I need to weld a part of the chassis that is cracked..I read somewhere that you should disconnect the computer plugs before you weld .???..Can anyone tell me what to un plug so I don't ruin anything and where it is...THANKS A LOT.....Dave

unless you're gas welding, the welder provides it's own ground. you can still fry stuff. i remember one guy said he thought he disconnected everthing but when the car was done his speedo was dead. he forgot to disconnect the transmission harness.
there's always something...
