Post BBS Wheels 3 piece

I have been offered (for sale at what the owner says is a good price) a full set of 16s 3 piece BBS wheels. I currently have 16s with 7spoke and I'm not looking to move to 17s (I know unusual to many but the ride is smoother with 16s on my car and I don't race the car). The owner calls the style "Honeycomb". They do look "Honeycomb"; however, I've searched BBS.com, numerous upon numerous tire/wheel seller websites and many, many personal websites but I can't find a similar style. Although I find a few cars with Honeycomb wheels none where I find a description of the wheels or their price. They definitely are not in the current BBS lineup as far as I can tell. I'm told they are 'classics' , not made anymore but very much worth their value. Has anyone seen this style of BBS wheels? What do you know about them? And what do you think their value is? p.s. The wheels will come with Pirelli's as part of the package (they look almost new).

Thanks. B.

Very expensive when new and when that style was in favor. Now, not worth any more than the stock flat dish wheels. If you like the look, go for it. Otherwise, for about $1500 you can get cup replicas shod with tires.

NyDolfan - what size and offset are yours? It's stamped into the center section under the centercap - RSXXX XJ x XX ETXX where the capital X's are numbers.

What kind of shape are they in?

Thanks,

Bryan

NyDolfan- The set of 4 BSS Honecomb wheels with 4 Pirelli's, mounted and balanced for $1,400 (US$). The wheels look in great shape (couple of curb marks but very minor) and the Pirelli's probably have less than 2 to 3,000kms/1500-2000mi. (There would be no shipping cost as we are in the same city.)

Anyone know when they were made and how much they were originally? Anyone with a picture?

I have a set on my 951 and they do NOT clear the caliper on my S4.

Make sure they're going to fit!

I have the BBS mesh wheels on my car.

I paid $1000, which included a set of used tires.
I sold my phone dials for $500, so it worked out
to be a good deal for me.

Bryan: I'll have to go to the storage place this weekend to get the offsets. There was no problem running these on my 88S4.

Here's my first attempt at attaching a pic:

Hi. Thank you for the pictures, those are definitely them... one of these days I got to buy myself a digital camera and scanner for my laptop. He's negotiated the price for wheels and tires down to $1250 (US$) but.. I got some advice that the Honeycombs tend to bend easier than some other styles and since they don't make them anymore.. replacements are problematic. Anyway, for the moment I've passed on the wheels and I still looking around for a style/brand that I like.
Any suggestions? Bruce.
