One thing I noticed when I bought mine a few months ago. On the trip back from San Diego, I did get smoke under power and after stopping. After doing my oil change all the bolts on the pan were very loose. Also, I tried to stretch its legs in the desert, when I hit 120 it started to misfire like there was a governor on it. That was fixed with a complete tune up kit. I was able to take it to 135 after the tuneup was complete.

IMO the bosch platinum +4 plugs are great.

Sub,

CIS injected cars don't like to sit. They will lacquer up your fuel system. I wouldn't make any adjustments to the A/F mixture until you have run 2 or three bottles of fuel system cleaner through it. Any adjustments now may be counterproductive when the system cleans out.

I would recommend that you clean all of the ground points, replace the fuses and clean the fuse relay contact points.

Well the results of some weekend tinkering are:
The screen on the fuel distributor inlet was nearly clogged with build-up. Before cleaning I could only see a ray of light through it. No large particles of anything, just lots of specks holding hands. I don't yet know if this was the cause of my loss of power. In the course of disassembling stuff I now have a list of stuff to order before I can reassemble and test.
I see that someone on Ebay is selling a kit that is supposed to control oil flow from the breather into the intake at high RPM's. This may be similar to the Devek kit that Erik mentioned. Does anyone have experience with these? I can see the oil coating inside my intake with the runners off of the plenum.
Thanks all
