Default Back with a new paint job.

The 82 is back home after almost a month at the painter. It's almost all back together, but I still have some things that I want to adjust and I really would like to get the front driving, fog, turn signal and clearance lights wired back correctly, but the paint is really nice.

It's Moss Green Metallic, but I had bigger than standard metallic chip - I tried a couple of combinatiions as tests before I decided on this one. I hope you can see the color in the close-up of the front fender, I'm really pleased with the results. Darn, it looks much bluer in the image than it is. It's clearly a green car!

Rear wiper removal, antenna removal, side moulding removal, headlight washer removal.

Now, I'd love to find a good front grill insert at a reasonable price, if anyone is sitting on one - note "reasonable price."

Very Nice!! Love the color. The d 90's rims look real nice on the car!! If you dont mind what kind of numbers were you looking at with the repaint. They did a real nice job.

I stripped it down completely on the outside, removed side windows, bumper covers, all lights, all rubber and trim pieces and put it all back together after reburbishing the rubber and trim. The painter filled the side trim holes, antenna hole, rear wiper holes, washer holes, removed the #!@!@# rock guard from both sides and fixed some minor dings. He used some special rust guard on the window openings, and painted the door jams, inside the hood, and engine compartment and charged me $1,600.00.

I'm going to have the silver 90 repainted by him as well, as soon as I can get the engine back together. It's linen gray metallic and I'm going to try some metallic options on it as well.

I literally have "days" invested in tear-down and rebuild, but my time is worth nothing, or so I' tell my wife.

That's more than you asked, but for the money, he did an amazing job - in my opinion.

That's a beautiful looking ride there! Nice upgrades (or, uh, 'take-offs'!)
What color was it before? Love that green!

Enjoy the ride!

It was a blue green factory repaint, even the shock towers were painted, but no one could match it or determine what it really was, so.... back to square one.

It's my designated "daily driver", the others get to stay in the garage and prepare themselves for special occasions.

Very nice results! Thinking your prep work paid off big time. Most paintjobs in that price range would not have come out so nice.

I just had mine painted GT Silver...looks gray till the sun hits it.
You did a great job and so did the painter....but no Aero mirrors?

Awesome color, and nicely done!

I hope that using it daily you won't regret the side molding removal... but it definitely looks awesome without!

Do you have some shots of the rear, with the wiper delete?

I already have the shark antenna, it just doesn't show in the photos. I'll take some rear when I get done. I'm not satisfied with the rear cover fit yet. The gap at the top is too much, so I have to remove it and see what can be done, but I'm waiting on some screws for the top of the cover, so...

I'm paranoid about where I park and I still have them if I need to reinstall, but I sure hope not.
