Thumbs up Cheap Airbox Straps *Update*

I recieved my straps a few days ago. They are NOT 928 straps, however they fit well, and I have no complaints, (especially since I replaced all four loose straps for the price of {1} 928 part#).

Purists note that the straps do not have the ribs on one side. They might also be stretched a tiny bit tighter than the originals, but I don't have a proper reference.

FYI: The part# is '911 110 365 01', 'Air Box Strap Long', 911 73-76, 298mm. I checked other part sites using the part# or model/year and found prices of $8.99, $10.50, $11.92, list price $15.50.

Note: I re-checked the original link, and the part is no longer listed for 928, but was listed for the 911 for $8.99 (vs $7.90 on 11/8).

I was kinda worried that might be the case.I need to replace one of mine but I think I'll stick with an original instead of a replacement.THANKS for sharing that with us!

I received my straps today. As you stated, they are NOT 928 straps (missing the ribs) however they do fit well and the price was fantastic! If you need air box straps and hate to pay $25 each, I would recommend these. I think I will order a couple more to have around for replacements in the event one of the new one brakes. I perfer the slightly tighter fit over the original fit.

I Paid $8.99 each plus $7.29 shipping.

Thanks PorKen for the heads up on saving money to maintain my '84. <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

Yep got mine too. Good to know the do indeed fit. If nothing else it would be a good excuse to buy a 911 to go with the straps.
