Rear A/C Delete / Removal
I've tried searching for it but for some reason I can't find a thread that's useful. I'm assuming this is a common thing to do, but I'm looking for a little guidance before I yank everything out. Any good write ups out there on this?

Rear A/C delete fabricators?
I've researched this too. DR says there are no plugs available for the rear connections underside of car which means going as far as origination point and removing hoses. I brought it up to CapnCarl, but no response. If anybody gets together a group buy I'm in.

The lines for the rear AC tap off the hard piping where it passes across the firewall in front of the passenger seat (on LHD cars). To disconnect, you would need to find caps for the ports, or replace the hard piping there with parts from a car without rear AC. No luck with the caps so far, and replacing the hard piping looks like it might be worth pulling the engine to do.
The first soft hose connections in the rear AC are at the evaporator IIRC, so no benefit trying to plug them there.
Best remedy for a leaking rear AC system has been to reseal everything to stop the leaks. The total weight of all the components is less than 15 lbs, so for weight-savings alone removal is probably not a worthwhile effort. At least until some enterprising soul with a lathe decides to make some o-ringed caps for the ports up front.
