M474 sport shocks were not standard in '89 GT
While looking for other stuff from Jim's CD's I noticed below text in factory '89 GT changes doc.
GT cars are supplied with standard running gear, induding shock absorbers. Boge gas pressure shock absorbers can be ordered as optional extra quipment (M 474) for entry of the car in sport racing events.
As there has been speculation if sport shocks were standard on '89 GT above should give definitive answer that they weren't even though they are common. Seems only models to get sports as standards were US '81-82 Competition group, '88-89 Club Sport and UK '88 SE.
What '89 GT didn't have as standard was body side protection. It seems it was delete option in S4 and add option in GT.

Interesting... My 1989 GT has the 474 shocks and side molding. I wish those dirt-traps had been deleted, though.
By the way, are those 474 sport shocks bump and/or rebound adjustable? Or do they just adjust ride height?
