You are talking about two different wires?.

Fog light switch?. My 84 Row doesn't have a switch but a pushbutton under the main headlamp ****, is this what you are reffering too?.

You need a Shop Manual - Forget to maintain a 928 without this 'important tool' - The cost for these are 'peanuts' compared to the cost of an 928 ownership.

According to the wiring diagrams, there are no gray/yellow OR yellow/gray wires associated with the fog light system.
