Simple question
Location: Inside the wheel wells behind both front tires:
Question: What are those metal plates (approx, 3" x 4")for? They are attached to the plastic lining.
Mine are slightly loose and face down. The screw is on the top. They don't appear to be doing anything at the moment (that includes good and bad). <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" />

Don't feel bad.
I removed those plastic shields looking for vacuum leaks. There is a 45 deg.fitting that is prone to breakage on the pass. side. I,too, wondered about the plates... figured them out and now can't recall their function??????? duh...
I think they serve as both stiffners and something like a 'lip' grabber I'll check tomorrow.

In keeping with my long - standing tradition of near total lameness.
I needed to order the left front shield, and the foam seal/hardware - the neighbors kids got it I'm afraid - anyway. So, I just E-mailed 'THE PARTS GUY' at 928 International.
Also asked what its name was and how to mount that plate properly. I slid the curved grabber end of the plate under the lower right spoiler corner so the darned thing at least is acting like a stiffener for now.
I'll let you know what the parts guru has to say ...whenever.
