Ditto what Bob said.

Jules knows 928s and he's pretty resonably priced. I took my car to him a couple of times. He's a good alternative to Precision for owners up in the Valley.

Dr. Bob is one of the reasons that a large number of 928 owners in SoCal have not abandoned the faith-he is always willing to go out of his way to anyone who needs help.

Rolf-

Very well said. I wouldn't have even considered a shark were it not for the online expertise that appeared to exist on Rennlist, but I had no idea how great the support would be until I actually got the car and got in over my head on the MM job. Bob made two 100-mile round trips to bail me out! Dr Bob is the man, man!

Ryan......I got a call this morning from Jules, and he said that the second fuel pump is not working and he has also found a couple of other potential issues that he is working on. I'll post the final results. Thanks for asking.

Larry,

Interesting on the second fuel pump. I don't think that was the cause of the symptoms we observed, though. Even driving at low speed, it was the same as at freeway speed. One would think that a lost pump would show up more at a little more load. Stranger things have happened, though.

Karen is off playing golf up the coast this weekend, so we can schedule some time to look at your AC if you get the car back from Jules in time. Do some diagnosis, then you can decide how you want to handle what we find. Some problems are pretty easy to take care of. I plan on doing oil/coolant/whatever on Sayurday morning. let me know if you are interested.

Bob,
Yes, the AC issue is something that I want to resolve. Right now I'm just sitting with my fingers crossed and waiting to hear from Jules. I'll let you know something in the next day or two.

Congrats Bob. I's nice to see that there is always someone willing to help out another. You have always been that way and many in so Cal and across the nation have benefited from your knowledge....myself included.

Hey Keith--

I suspect that you've done at least as much for the cause over the years.

I just sent a proposal to a power plant near you, about an hour from Portland they said. They didn't even ask about costs, just the kind of project I love. I'll let you know when I'm in the neighborhood.

For those who asked, the problem turned out to be the MAF, and one of the distributor caps was cracked The good news, Jules did his usual magic, and she is running great
