Can a 32v be put into an '82 Weissach (US)? Does that run more than $5K total?? TIA.

I'll keep your engine in mind. Any details on it? The interior of the Weissach in Covina looks really nice, but they have a smaller engine. Why can't I find the perfect car? The obvious answer came from a Harley owner, "Make it your own" Nicole's opinion is that Weissach's are collectible and thus one probably shouldn't modify same vis a vis its collectability. I guess I would only know if I lived with it for awhile.

Steve,
Fellow Weissach owner here!
1. Is your kickdown switch working?
2. I agree, they aren't the fastest, but they are Quick.
3. A couple of weeks ago, I took Pattycakes out for a serious romp. Coming back from a safety awards day/barbeque - of all things. The Harley's disappeared at 100, Butter, in his new Cadillac was pissed...engine programmed to cut out at 110.
She pulled strong past 127 then the speedo pegged in both directions and finally layed on the 170 mark-wishful thinking-. I still had a lot of rpm left and used some...
She actually hunkered down around 95, handled like on rails, and the torque just never stopped.
She performed as advertised.
4.And you want more? At these speede you need bail money, and a signiture loan for the fines.
I asked this same question awhile back and I think the consensus was "buy a S-4, GT or GTS.
You can buy a Euro engine from
928 International for about$3500.00 PLUS shipping that would give you about 80 or 90 additional HP.
Pretty tasty, eh? But you would have to ask the Guru's , Steve C. comes to mind, if the Torque converter, flex plate, drive flange/drive platemaybe a swap to a 4spd auto, with attendant pieces are necessary. You could blow $4 - 500.00
there without a trans, TT, swap.
928 International could get you a required parts and price list as could any of the Big Three. Then there's labor if you don't do the install yourself.
Check it out and post the results.

John, I don't have Weissach at this time, but am drawn to it; and the one in Covina looks like a cream puff. It is a manual. You mention auto trans as well. My understanding is that swiching to AT gets into changes in the interior as well because the AT is larger than the manual and pictures I have seen of the Weissach assembly line show a different rear cockpit to accommodate same. But thanks for the info. I will talk to the seller.
