I'm surprised no one has hit upon what I think is the interesting story in this thread...

The GT3 owner and Carl had never met prior to Carl driving away in the GT3. Carl was on vacation. Now Carl's a nice guy and all but, if it was me, I'm not sure I'd let someone I'd met 5 minutes ago drive away in my brand-spanking new 130K Porsche. I have to imagine that the conversation went something like this:

Carl: Hi! That's a nice Porsche.

GT3-Dude: Oh. Thanks. That's a mighty black 928 you have.

Carl: [Jedi Mind Trick] You'd like to let me take your GT3 for a test drive. [/Jedi Mind Trick]

GT3-Dude: Hey. Why don't you take my GT3 for a test drive?

Carl: [Jedi Mind Trick] I'll bring it back when I'm done having fun with it. [/Jedi Mind Trick]

GT3-Dude: Have fun. Just bring it back when you're done.

Gotta have a strong mind when Carl's near
ROTFLMAO

That was a good one Dave. Curious how close the conversation was to that.

I honestly cannot get GT3's out of my mind lately. This is both good and bad. My wife is starting to cave a bit on this subject...

I hate to say it, but I wasn't very interested in driving the GT3. I knew it was a rare opportunity anyhow, and the owner came with me...Maybe less fun.
I also didn't want anything bad to happen to his new car. The cobalt blue looked great.

My girlfriend thinks I'm crazy just walking up to strangers and saying Hi, but life is really short.

I am a fan of the car, for how it feels and is a no-nonsense road car. Stiff, high strung and track ready.

Ed, remember your medical condition, this post above should keep you out of a GT3.
