Default Capping A/C lines after removing compressor...what to use?

My A/C compressor leaks, so I've pulled it out (w/hoses) until I replace or rebuild it. What do you guys use to cap the open connections left after removing the compressor w/hoses?

I use ziplock bags, with a tie-wrap on it to keep the rocks and moisture out. But... My system is only disconnected like that for the hours it takes to reseal and rebulld the hoses. Don't plan on driving it with hoses bag-sealed like this. Temp changes in the system will draw crap inside somehow.

Sections of rubber hose press-fit over the threads and capped?
