Three down sharks...
I've been elective wrenching on the 78 for a few days now and it's close.
One caliper rebuild away from having fresh brakes. New injectors, plugs, tires, oil, filters, couple vacuum hoses, hood release cable, some Redline for the tranny once I can get it warm.
So... in protest, the black 84 decides to blow the water pump about 1/2 an hour ago (altho I think it's been trying to tell me about this for a few weeks). I'd run for stuff for the 78 effort. Guess that was the last straw.
The weinrot euro is... well, down.
So. It's 2:30 pm est. I've got to get one of them up today. So much for elective wrenching.

Update... 5:10 pm est.
78 is on the road. Lotsa brakes. Go fill up the tank for the first time. Takes 18 gallons. Run inside for some brews, come back to a nice puddle of gas dribbling out underneath filler area. Probably first time in 10 years some of the hoses at the top of the tank have seen gas. Now they're competing for my attention.

I can't believe it...
78 gets fresh rotor/cap, some redline in the tranny, go for a ride. Come back, idle in front of the garage while I sweep it out. Turn back to pull the pig in.... and it's leaking coolant. From the water pump. ARGHH!!! You've got to be kidding me.
So... 5:00 pm est Sunday. Both drivers down for water pumps. What are the friggin odds?
