Very Suddenly, No A/C cooling
Hi all,
Had the car (85 928S) out yesterday, long drive - hot day and the A/C cooling worked wonderfully....has always been plenty cold enough, so much so that I rarely have the fan on more than "1".
Took her out again this morning - ambient temperature was fairly cool - and no cold air from the vents. Slid the temperature level higher and it got warm and vice versa, but at the lowest setting, no cold air.
Could it be that it was too cool out for the cold air to flow? I can't imagine it is a recharging issue as it is so sudden. Any suggestions on some quick things to check?
I am sure that some of this has been covered elsewhere, but the search function seems to be down this morning...
Regards,
Wayne

start the car turn on AC open the hood and see if the compressor is turning if it is see what kind of charge you have by looking at the reciever/drier their should be a small glass if its filled with bubbles or you dont see anything then you have lost the charge. If you do see a liquid and it looks pretty constant then you may have a vacuum modulator that has failed in the center vent/mixer flap

There is a good possibility that the relay on the back of your climate control panel has failed. Lots of threads on this, I expect someone can give you a link. In the meantime, Go up to ''read this first'', and see what you can find. lol
