Rear air vent fix
I don't know about the rest of you with the rear air option, but all four of my vents rotate freely and there is no way I can direct the air. Actually it's kinda funny with the fan on high one of them just spins. Anyway . . .
There is supposed to be a spring washer at one of the pivot points to provide some friction, mine were either missing or just plain worn out and no spring left. So I was wondering what to do to stop these things spinning.
The answer was some o-rings. I had one of those "rescue" packs and found the small ones (1/8th or so) was a perfect replacement for the worn out or missing spring washer. Size is not important, just the width. Just be careful when removing the vent piece and don't spread it side ways or some of the vanes will fall out and they are a pain to get back in..
A quick and very inexpensive fix.

Good stuff! I've been "coloring" little felt pads with a black Magic Marker, stuffing the pads into various places to try and manage the looseness and other noises. O-rings will be added to my effort.
Thanks!

I've noticed 928's that do this....I'm lucky that mine don't.....maybe 928intl has one thats good that you could replace it with? Otherwise its onto Dr Bobs "stuff something in there" fix.....there also can be a rattle from the grate on top of the evaporator which is easy to fix with felt too
