Default Is this right? 86 MAF

Is this right for a early 86 928S? When I changed the MAF sensor on a S4 it went into a rubber boot. The second pic confirms my suspicion that the P.O didn't hook up all of the vacuum lines.

James that is right, the maf just slides down into there, and there is a large rubber o-ring that sits in a groove to seal it.

you should replace that o-ring when you get a chance.

There's actually two o-rings. One thick one that fits in a groove in the 'U', and a thin one that goes on the MAF, and fits in the 'U' opening chamfer.

(In PET, the thin o-ring looks quite large.)
