Post Sharks in the Ozarks

Need to confirm with the locals with as close to accurate estimate of how many are planning on attending.

Weekend after Father's day in Eureka Springs, Sharkansas.

Fun runs, dyno runs, and parade lap thru downtown.

So, let me know if you plan to attend.

Thumbs up

Jay,
21,22,23 June timeframe, correct?
I'm in. They had Pattycakes' quarter panel and rear-end off yesterday, A.M., and she was taped and papered by 3:20 P.M.. Monday they paint. So... I'm assuming I'll be done with the electrical battles in time.
Might not be staying at the pre-offered accomodations though.
John S. and a healing Pattycakes.

Jay,

I'm in. Actually we will be going to Eureka the 18th and staying at the Edelweis(sp?)Inn rather than the Cresent. Not sure if I'll bring one or both of the 78's.

Cool

Jay,
Y'know I'm planning to be there, see you at SitM!

Steve,
I'm planning to have my wif well loaded with digital and video camera's. I am NOT a shutter-bug, but my wif shows an inclination for it. I've already been asked to send pics after the event.

I have been exhibiting a lot ( for me, that is! ) of excitement for this event, talking about it, places I wish to take her to see, or eat at, the scenery, the excellent roads and varying altitudes. NO FLATLAND! And, she is acting blase' about it all. I hope the rest of all who show at SitM gathers her into their collective arms, and generate some enthusiasm in her. Look for an Ohio plated Cassisrot '87 S4, with "ROSY 928" on the rear plate, my wif's name is Deb. Rosy is pretty darn stock, nothing special has been added.
She is far from being snooty, but she has not liked many of my friends, claims many have low to no class. Some, I must agree with her. She has bought me two expensive toys over the years, one of them being our 928. Never even trys to put a stop to trips I take, even when they are clear accross the country. Tells me NOT to worry about the cost of the fuel for the 928, just get the best. Seems to enjoy listening to me when I tell her the stories about our 928; the kids, the "ricky racer" types, all the lookers, the drive-by-fast-and-slow-down-back-to-look types, all the people yelling about the car, people stopping to look at the car ( kinda scares me sometimes! ), the truckers using Rosy as a marker on CB, the drivability exploits, etc!!!!! She gets a big smile and grin listening to all I tell her.

I really can't wait for SitM!!!! Hope she wears the 928 shirt, and gets to know some of the 928 crowd, and really enjoys herself!!

About 800 miles one way, to SitO for me.

Question

In a previous post, I thought there was mention of a web site with "Sharks in the Ozarks" info. Does such a web site or page exist? I am interested in attending this event.

Snowy, you realize of course that by attending, people may find out what your real name is - sounds risky.

yeah, you've spent countless hours trying to solve this mind-bender randy, so i'll just go ahead and out with it: FRANK BOOTH. "lets go for a ride," "where's my f#$%ing bourbon," "sh$% yeah raymond, open the f#$%ing beer."

my vin will have electrical tape on it and i will wear a paper tag just for you. so i take an illegal tag display ticket, whoop-de-do, i'll fix it myself. Ha ha ha.

who you showin' up with: larry, moe and curly?

respectfully, frank.

Jay,

I'm not sure I will have a car ready by then, but if so, I will be there too!

Talking

Jay,
We do seem to be a bit shy of the original posting numbers...
On the other hand while SITM was clearly a success with a great show of numbers I wonder if there was time enough for more than; "Hey, nice sHARk, my name is-------, glad to meet ya'".
I'd like to see about 15 - 20 928's of various M/Y's, chat a little, get into the; " How'd you do that" wrench stuff. Maybe a brew or ten and a good meal.
I think more will show but in the end we'll go with what we got. I haven't pestered the Austin guy's for a while... if some of them showed that would be cool, they have a tight little site and I might hook up with them as an occasional/member.
later,
John S.

John-

I met and visited with Oscar Mun??? (can't spell his last name). A real nice fella.

Don't know of any others down there.

Talking about 'how'd you do that' is a real biggy on my list as well as the 1 or 10 drinks as well.

Let's get 'em ready folks!
