Wife gave the node of approval, found a great place to drop the kids off. Now if the Shark doctors can hasten the recuperating time we should be good to go.

I missed the Crescent Hotel post earlier, maybe you can reiterate.

If memory servers, Eureka Springs is a bit of a tourist town isn’t it? Do they still have the Passion play in the hills?

If that bridge outage is going to be a problem coming from Oklahoma, the I-30 is still an option.

Jay you can e-mail me direct if need be.

Hey Max-

Yep, Eureka Springs is a tourist town. Lots of stuff to see (arts/crafts/etc - but not the Country Cow crap). You are also right about the Passion Play.

I had posted last Jan/Feb about using the Crescent Hotel - but apparently few people (I'll call again and confirm with the management) had made reservations.

Anyway, we shall see what happens. Based on the SITM's, it seems as though it is best to try to get everyone to stay at the same place (makes for better discussions).

Two weeks from now...

Dyno run (if there is enough interest)...if not a drive down the Pig Trail.

I'll be arriving Thursday evening to ensure all is set to go.

It would be best if we could all stay at one hotel so as to foster even more discussions/war stories/etc.

Time to get your maps out!!!

Jay, I'll check the Haunted house for cost, again.
Zack is getting shanghied to Austin. So it's just me.
If I cover the interior in plastic, and Max brings a chainsaw I figured on doing a little cattle rustlin'/steak carving on the way up to help defray costs.
Let you know by next tuesday.
Should have never deflated the Dunlops from 51psi
-max- I don't think these shoes will make the trip.
Stopped and talked to the Garagemaster for my old neighbor's -Carl XXXX -Dad.
He 's the one with THE Mclaren F-1 and Diablo, amongst others.
He say's he does the F 1's alignment every three months depending on useage, and the Diablo as needed - rarely. Any how, he said; no gauranty, but he would check Pattycakes out but needs the specs. Anyone have them or are the in the Archives? I had stopped at the Chev. Dealer because Vette's are supposed to be corner balanced/aligned, both the Service Manager and some of his minions looked at me like I just got off the short schoolbus... . My vette driving buddy, Rusty, is going to be pissed when he finds' out he has been hood winked.
Yep, probably, Kuhmo's.
Later,
John S. and Pattycakes

Lets' see: Fly out of Dutch on 15th, arrive in Seattle Laaate on 15th, drive south to Centralia/Chehalis. Sleep two hours, get coffee go to shop and dismantle shark. Replace bad parts with good parts. Maybe be done by 18th. Pack wallet, credit cards, thermos full of coffee, road map, .40 cal CZ and hit roads to southeast. Drive for two days and arrive at Ozarks. Might be able to make it happen. Have to check with War Dept.

------------------------------------------------
Might have to find a empty keg, a dremel and cook up some King.

Shane,
The appropriate thing for a grunt to do upon returning from the FIELD:
1.) Kick in the front door. This wakes up the wife and or girlfriend(s).
2.) While running up the steps, in a booming voice, announce; "Honey(s) I'm Home". This prevents one from getting shot and, simultaneously, takes the place of foreplay.
3.) After the initial ravishment,( or, three,) it is considered both polite and customary to remove the 70LB rucksack.
Your decision of course but you might be pushing it...
Then again, if you have been married for 20 plus years... sex may or may not occur as often as planetary alignments.

Catch you, whenever...
John S.
P.S. Don't mention the lead chunker on the net RAPTOR is running full out nowadays.
P.P.S. Was that King Crab you made reference to?

Actually we both live and work in the cold environs of Alaska. Kind of a family affair. But our house (the one in Washington is almost finished. So likely thing will be that she will want me to help move furniture from my shop and her shop to the house. Being that she is almost into her third trimester with our second child, I'll have to forgo sleep in order to do the shark and the furniture. I sure would love to make at least one shark get together this year.

hey john , as to your alignment frenzy, there are specs in the manual and in one of pooch's tsb's for use to get correct toe without pulling car down in front. i'm going to see what my existing camber settings are vs last alignment to see if any worse and i'm going to hang out and be a shop pest and observe to see if no liftee.

maybe there will be cool weather for the sharkfest.

also you should just set ride height as close as you can, pretty much equal threads on your rear adjusters and forget corner balancing.

Yes Alaskan Red and Blue King Crab. Plus a good standby is the halibut steaks. Ask Randy about them Halibut steaks.

PS go to http://www.unisea.com/production_facilities.htm

and see where I work. Buiding marked PH.

Shane,
Lotta square footage, what's the Kw output vs requirement?
Hanger 18? Never had the Blue's. What's the diff?
Snow,
There is, perhaps, a reason not to sweat the rear corner balance?
Say, did you price a new TT clamp? My God!
Hang on to that bulb/light control switch...gold doesn't cost that much.

you don't sweat the rear corner balance because pooch gives you 20kg of leeway from side to side, meaning it don't have to be perfect. also new flexplate assy was about $350-375. it looks like the rear clamps may be transferable to the front as they use the same part# grade 12.9 bolt.

We have a max output of 13.6 mW, max demand is 7.8 mW. Not excessively large by down south standards but the largest on Dutch Harbor. The City of Unalaska/Dutch Harbor will at times buy power from us. Being that ADEC regulates our plants according to our stack emissions, the city will buy from us rather than risk the fines for going over their fuel allotment.

This is the engines we use. Those who spent any time in the Navy on diesel subs will know about these. Originally designed for the military. Got to see a film where they shock tested the engines with 500 lb charges.

Shane-

FWIW- Nuke boats use Diesels as well as an Emergency Power Source (those batteries can't last forever).

The Boat I was on had a Fairbanks Morse unit - and the Plant I work at today employs nearly the same unit as well for the same purpose - just a bit more capacity.
