Guys Please Help on 82 weissach's value
#16
I did sell mine about two months ago for $13k. It was low miles, and the 5 speed version. It also had many things that the present weissachs do not have around anymore. I sold it to buy a Lotus Esprit....funny thing is that I miss the hell out of that weissach. The interiors on them are soooo nice. I currently own an 81 euro spec, Metallic brown....but strong as hell.

Ell,
Mikey got it right.
And to be honest, knowing what I do of the Weissach's now if, Mikey got 13K for a mint Goldie with low mileage in great running condition he had it coming and more.
Particularly in view of all the various abused sHARKs of various vintages I have seen over the last few years. In every case, but one, the owners thought they were sitting on an investment goldmine. Wrong!
It would be nice to have written verification of all maintenance performed by a PORCHE certified mechanic, but, to be real ugly here, I don't put a lot of faith in paper. Especially when the warranted work was done three or more states away and will only do the warranty work at their shop. I just keep going deeper and deeper into the Weissach with the help of the RENN, Guru's, the BTDT/DIY guy's and the Nichol's site, of course.
Ell,
If that Weissach owner REALLY has a paint job and he/she waxes regularly it is a finish to behold -21 years old or not. For giggles ask him what happens when a fly tries to land on it without flaring first? I'll take a lie detector test...
you haven't seen anything till you see a fly trying to figure out how to counteract a slide with that many legs
The statements still stand: Value is your perception when it comes to 928 ownership.
And buy cheap sell dear.
BTW I don't think the new owner of Mikey's Weissach took a beating either.

Hey...I still have mine...iantdopps is the one who sold it for 13000.I don't think I'd even take that for mine.I know the complete history on it.I'd be skeptical about buying on one ebay as in investment for sure...

Herr Mason,
I stand corrected.
Brain cramp.
It would be a hard decison indeed, to sell the Weissach for a shot at an 86 1/2' or S4.
I'll pass and continue saving toward the day I can buy a 928 4spd auto. -bad knee's- with 80 more factory horses.
Nothing wrong with hoggin' a couple of sHARK's...

It's still the cleanest, best-running 928 I've seen.

I'd be shocked if he ever considered selling it.
I don't have any interior shots, but here are a few more of the car:

Next time I see (probably next Thursday) I'll try to snap a few shots of the interior. If you think the underside of the car is clean, you should see the engine bay.

Hmmm....looks like I have some stiff competition in the Weissach division. No luggage here but would be happy to put my car up against any other one in the United States!Oh what I'd give for a set of that three piece luggage!...
