Question 928 SE ?

I was on another board and there was a question about the 928 SE. I am now wondering what is the SE? I looked in the Performance Portfolio because on the cover there are the generations from 928S all the way up to the GTS. But in looking through the book I cannot find the SE and what it has or does not have ect. Anyone have any idea?

The only thing I can find is
http://www.928s4vr.com/928se.htm
Doesn't give any detail at all.

There's also some interesting/relevant letters from porsche in the 'documents' section

Cheers

I wonder whether the CS and the SE were the European equivalents of the US emission spec GT. Sounds like the SE was similar to the GT with some interior cosmetic upgrades.

I believe the CS/SE did have the GT engine mods, free flowing exhaust, '89 GT wheels, etc., so it really was the GT in the making. From what I have read the CS was a "bare bones" version with a lot of little luxuries removed, i.e. center tape console, standard cloth seats, no sunroof, etc. The SE was the CS with some of the luxury stuff put back in.

Yep what Mike said. IIRC the SE was a CS with some luxury items put back in and was UK exclusive.

Thanks guys. I thought that it might be the Club Sport for a certain market after reading page 92 in the Performance Portfolio. The guy (Gary) on the other board mentioned that there were only 40 some made. Wow! hard to get your hands on one of those I bet.
