For the record that Audi S4 beating the Z06 is pretty much an RS4 conversion, meaning the K03 turbos were swapped out for K04 turbos, exhaust and a few other pieces. I believe the quickest of the bunch is the Silverbullet S4 of AWE Tuning at 11.9 @ 121 mph.

Ive done my bit of street , so im just as guilty...BUT....those guys are DARN lucky that someone in the crossing traffic didnt decide to push an orange/red light. The speed that those guys come off the line was incredible, it wouldnt have been pretty!
IMHO..not to smart at an intersection like that!
That AUDI is a frikn rocket though! Left the Z06 in the dust.
IMHO anyone that says a 928 can take a Z06 off the line is having a dream. Still fun to try it though as YOU know your the under dog..the vette driver, on the other hand, is all hyped cause he beat a "PORSH"

It's sort of amusing to see 928 people turning up their noses at Vettes, maybe it's because many 911 guys turn their noses up at 928's.
BTW, for the "no car can touch my bike" guys, try finding Walser's in-car video where his 800hp Supra pulls on a Hayabusa. I had it bookmarked at one time, but since lost it.

Well, with bikes, when you are drag racing a car, bikes have an extreme disadvantage. Namely that the bike either wants to do a burnout, or it wants to loop you over on your butt. So when up against a car with really huge rubber, as well as a ton of power, the car can sometimes get ahead. But if the rider can get their power to the ground properly, the bike weighs so much less, and that is where the advantage lies. But when you talk about a highly modified Supra, with turbos, etc, versus a *stock* Huyabusa, keep in mind that there are turbo kits for bikes too, and they can make up towards 250-300 HP too. Still, you have to get the power to the ground... But I guess the point is that if you want to spend the money, you can make anything very fast. But when you compare stock vehicles, to stock vehicles, I do not think there is a car out there, that can hang with a bike off the showroom floor. Maybe a McClaren. Maybe... I'm guessing that a bike with a turbo kit, and an extended swingarm, could take the Supra... But I would like to see that video. I need to do a search... I should post it on the bike groups, and watch them have a spaz about it... Hahahaha!

I think I found it...
This should keep you street racing nuts busy for a while... Pretty cool link!
Street Racing Videos
But this one is much more impressive to watch.
VERY cool! Can you say "power" steering?

So Carlos,
If it is possible for a 2.8 liter twin turbo V6 to beat a Z06 in a straight line (as on the link provided), then why is it not possible for 4.5 liters of twin turbo Porsche V8 to do it?
The fact still remains, there are a lot of sleepers out there, so beware...

I've been searching lots of street racing videos, and they are pretty cool. And let me tell you, there are some really fast cars out there. By the way, that Supra that beat the *stock* Hayabusa, is running 26psi of boost, *and* nitrous... How long do you think that engine will last? Jeez!

Why all this hoopla? All the 928 ever was is a German attempt at building a Corvette anyway...

Hi guys, I'm only 16 years old and my car is a 1982 Wiessach Edition 928. First of all I am with JOHN (user #3323) on everything he has said. After hearing everyone debate over a silly drag race between a Vette and a 928 its silly to see older guys to be concerned in 0-60 and 1/4 mile. Especially, on a car that Tony Lapine(designer of the 928)and Porsche, never intended to be a ''drag racing'' vehicle of any sorts. If Porsche wanted to make a ''drag car'' to dominate the series, they would. They proved themselves in that area with the 917/30 that Mark Donohue drove in CanAm and was champion in 1973. All I am saying is that each car has its own purpose, and the 928 was designed to be a Grand Touring vehicle that could sustain speeds for long times that no other car during its time could. So, you can spend the rest of your lives debating on which car is faster, but do take in, that in order to have a fast car you need a skilled driver. As before, racing is a sport and a priveledge to any driver who holds the skill to be good at it and like before any idiot can drive fast in a straight line. All and all, the 928 is a piece of art and people who drive it are riding in a part of history, so lets not a bunch of Vettes and bimmer driving yuppies get the best of one of the best Porsches ever built.

I'm with Normy,
Let the this one die along with dozens of blown-up sHARKs who TRIED.
We should go back to those more realistic boat fume extractor motors or my personal favorite the Weed-Eater, (leaf blower) forced induction systems.
With a little tweaking I'm sure it'll show those damn vette's a thing or two... .
