Burning Brakes
A 225/50-16 tire just barely fits safely on a 7" rim. A 245/50-16 will also fit, but makes the gearing taller and makes the car look like an 'off-roader'. A 245/45-16 tire does NOT safely fit on a 7" rim. Porsche used 8" rims on the S4 models so that it could safely fit 245/45-16 tires in the rear. Keep in mind the primary criteria is SAFETY. YMMV.
