Post Motor mount shock absorbers

Never mind. Ignore this post. I just "redesigned" the stupid mess.

Upon investigating the motor mount shocks, I noticed one had no bolt, and the other was all bent. So I pulled them and massaged them into their proper shape. But I'm having a bit of trouble remounting the motor mount shocks to the block. The bracket has a captive nut on one end. The engine block ear seems to be treaded inside. So the bolt doesn't want to mate with the captive nut after being threaded thru the block ear. I'm about to ream out the ear, but I don't want to do something stupid that I'll regret. Why would the ear be threaded and not just a thru hole? And how are you all getting the bolt to thread thru the ear and the bracket without bending the bracket (the condition I found it in.) And this was assembled by Devek. So if they couldn't get it right... Hmmmm.
