Tommi: Thanks for the source for the window trim. Spoke to my mechanic about the holes, but he wasn't too worried, since water gets inside doors all the time according to him (and leaves again through holes in the bottom). Still, would like to replace them, as one side is so dry and hard that it's starting to crack.
Alan: Yes, Dave is correct; there's no sunroof in the car. Will probably want to swap the destructo-button with a blank, as it looks a bit homegrown. As far as I could understand from a German forum, the leather has been swapped between passenger & driver's seat, and some of the side bolster on the driver's seat has been removed to make entry & exit easier. Seat still holds you like a vice though; I'm not a big guy, so the sports seats fit me like a glove
Mel: Couldn't agree more - with the amount of tax we're forced to pay, the govt. ought to throw in free repairs for the entire life of the car...
Had expected not to like the red piping, but after seeing it in the flesh, it's really grown on me. Brightens up the very dark cabin that would otherwise have been 'too black'.
Btw, believe the seller mentioned something about a 'sports exhaust' in one of our phone conversations. Has a very deep, ominous rumble at low revs, and gets quite loud when you gun it, so he may be right. Will ask the previous owner when I get a chance..
Found out today that I'll have to park in another dubious place tomorrow, and will be home late, so can't drive the 928 until Thursday. I'm getting withdrawal symptoms....
