That is a common dilemma. The most basic rule is "buy the best you can afford." DUH! What that doesn't provide for is the trade off of saving to get a well maintained one, or enjoying the replacement process -- you did enjoy it right? There is a lot to be said for enjoying it now, even if it "needs a few things" but you have to know what you are getting into.

928s are Just like kids........lotsa work but one great day and its all worth it.

CeeDee, You should take your own advice. Women are evil and will make you do bad things, like sell your 928. Keep the car for the pure enjoyment it gives you and drive the Merc to detailing jobs.
