Group,
I'm trying to see if there is enough interest to convert
the hard copy wiring diagrams to high resolution images on
CD. This would be the whole set including GTS, somewhere
around 500+ pages. The cost is relatively high, about $400
+dup and shipping so we'd need a good size group to keep
the cost down under $25 each. If you're interested, please
send me a note directly. The plan is to send out a few
sheets to double check that the quality is good enough,
then convert all of them, rename each image w a shop manual
page number and then generate an MSWord table of contents
by MY/section/page number. Since many of the later MY
wiring diagrams are about 11x24 it probably won't be
practical/legible to print a whole page to a standard 8 1/2
x11 page size but you should be able to zoom w the viewer
to the appropriate section and then print that to use in
the garage.
This idea came about because the wiring diagrams from the
microfiche shop manuals are tough to read for later
MY's...page size got bigger and the print got smaller and
they were shrunk to a standard fiche image size. To avoid
copyright issues, you should already own the wiring
diagrams in some form.
It'll probably take 2 months start to finish for me to
check image quality, put the group together and then get
the conversion/renaming done. Let me know if you're
interested at jim928@ptd.net.
P.S. for those interested in the parts fiches for the 78-82
Euro and the 92-95GTS US, they should be in the end of this
week.....took quite awhile, I know, but I'll be in touch w
the group when they're done.
thanks,
Jim Morehouse
