Well, Randy, if you're going to let this thread continue, then let me say:

I'm still lookin' for a 928!
Prefer Guard's Red, 5 sp.
I live in WV. The closer the better; it's difficult for me to get time off to travel.
Feel free to PM me. Thanks!

Good luck on your search too, Christian.

I really have no budget, I am not looking for a garage queen, I am looking for a well taken care of 928 and not one that has been pieced together or butchered. I am not worried abour miles either, just a nice car

Christian
If you're interested in a 93 GTS Auto with a fresh factory block rebuilt by DEVEK 2000 miles ago, rebult tranny, email me at email@joedyer.com. Vortech SC, air2water intercooled, Koni's, springs, 285 pilots up front, 315's on the rear. No garage queen. A drivers car. 440 RWHP.

LOL, if I am going to nose into this thread, I guess I have to be able to take the heat, too.

1900cc's to answer your question. I actually had a cart years ago, and I will say the car in my avatar is indeed as close to one as I can get!

But with my quest for the 928, I'm looking for the polar opposite of my street-legal cart...

I'm 6'1" 235lbs - my head is close to the roof of a sunroof 928.

I'm amazed I actually fit into the Elise.

I'm amazed you fit into it as well

Just kidding. The Elise has a ton of head-room, and decent leg space. Pretty much because you sit on the floorboard.

The 928 is a little surprising when you sit in it (to me); the car does seem to sit lower than one would expect. I didn't really have trouble with head room in either of the examples I have test-driven. I think the only interior change I would make on my future 928 would be the steering wheel--it seems enormous. A smaller, fatter wheel would definitely be in order.

I agree, one sheriff is enough, but if people can list WTB and FS posts without being a member, then the value of our membership has just gone down IMHO.

I think Randy is just having a bit of fun himself …and letting us have some also …he knows we already (well, not me yet but I’ve been slow lately) have given ChristianR the razz so he knows they have gotten the message…plus no paying member has to actually list any “real” member-earned info and perhaps they shouldn’t either.

ChristianR has been around since 2005 with 352 post so he/she has had plenty of time to read the forum charter rules and figure it out…Plus…since we sent slow-miler packing (yes Abby – you can tell him I said that and I won’t think any less of you) we’ve had no one to set straight, preach the gospel too or convert to 928idism.

OK…Ok…ahem…uh…test test…one two…one two…is this thing on!!! I know of one most diserable silver 93 Zimmette GTS… Fee Free

^I don't see how I have been set "straight", the only thing some of you did was jump the gun and try to run off a Porsche enthusiast, that does not say alot about this section of the forum and it's beloved 928 owners.

Christian

Were they a little hard on you? Maybe. Make no mistake about it though.... this IS the best 928 forum out there.
