Got the pics from the Hill country meet, thanks! They will help. I've seen Danno's work on the 944 forum, you are right he can certainly sort it out. I'll see if I can find him.

Hey Jeff,
one thing that might help would be to ask CC Police to feature the incident in their TIPS TV spots. They can film my shark to show what the model looks like. That would pretty much make sure that if your car is still in the vicinity, it will be spotted.

How many 928s you got in that part of the country?
Most folks will remember the car if you show 'em almost any pic of a 928 and tell them it is blue.

Thanks Everyone:
Donald, Champagne & Randy--I appreciate the extra effort and help. (Randy, time to pay Member dues I have long been meaning to do so).
I should have learned my lesson when someone tried to steal it out of the paint shop nearly two years ago. They went after the ignition with a slide hammer, then a screwdriver. Thankfully, with or without alarm, 928's are almost impossible to steal without a key. Only cost the paint shop an ignition switch. Take-home message: NEVER LEAVE THE KEYS, JEFF. EVEN IF IT'S IN YOUR LIVING ROOM!"
Anyway, thanks to everyone's help, I am running "crimestoppers" type TV spots this weekend in hopes someone will rat the scumbag out. 1K reward for safe recovery, next, additional 1K for prosecution if necessary.
Talking to Customs, INS, and Border Patrol today--found that they are not connected with local/state's) stolen vehicle database. One call to each put me in their respective Fed. systems for one year.
Also learned from Fed. agents that despite law enforcement claims otherwise, anyone can just drive anything into Mexico at any time--and it's gone. Scary.
Again, thanks to everyone. Expensive learning experience.

'75 914--rusting to dirt down here.
ps. I will have another 928, even if it means living on college budget until it happens.

Randy:
There are probably a dozen sharks in and around Corpus. Amazingly, there are/were at least 6 on North Padre Island. Non-enthusiasts probably remember those headlights more than anything else. Correct me if you think of something else.

Jeff, I just saw the crimestoppers on channel 6 (NBC) during the 6pm local news. It was well done, both in content and lay out. It should help to get your beloved Shark back. If there is anything I can do to help out, let me know.
