Hey guys, my 928 is finally alive.

I put a rebuilt brain, fuel pump and a brain relay. Well, the car started right away and I let it idle for 10 minutes.

It idles on 7 cyl though. The rear cyl on the driver side is "missing". After checking the wires it turned out to be a bad sparkplug wire. I will let you guys know how it turns out. Btw, I don't want to buy wires yet, is there anyone who can lend me 1 plug wire? I don't care if it's old, as long as it's in working condition.

I have been trying to fix the project car for almost 6 months, boy, I have built up alot of patience with this car :-)?

Can you elaborate on how you rebuilt the brain? Just to be clear, this is the L-Jet controller that mounts to the kick panel on the passenger side.

Many of us '80 - '84 guys would like to know as they are not available and there seems to be little options for rebuilds.

Hey Scott, I sent my bad brain to Parts werk of Chicago. They charged me $505 for a rebuilt brain and credit me $100 upon receival of my bad brain. Not bad. Also it comes with a 1 year warranty.

Btw, so far I bought new fuel pump/relay, rebuilt brain/relay, strainer etc.
I have not driven the car yet so I don't know the condition of the transmission. One sparkplug wire is not working, is there anyone that wants to get rid of their old set of sparkplug wires? I will pay for shipping and some $$ if desired. I don't want to keep spending money on the car to update the engine and maybe at the end the transmission is trash...

Help help........
