Default Porsche Factory Training Electrical Diagram Vellums For Sale

This is a first come first served basis. I am sorry if anyone is offended because I did not contact them direct. I just don’t have time to goof with this and want to clean out a room full of stuff that will go on Ebay.

I had the fortunate opportunity to pick up some original vellums measuring approximately 42”x24”. These were used in the US training schools arranged by Porsche. This is what I have left. They are all in great condition though used of course. So that you understand, these are full page electrical diagrams for the noted years. They were/can be used to produce blue prints. I don’t have the time or care to make set of blue prints for anyone cause I have more “life” than I can handle at this time. Whomever is lucky enough to get a set, can produce full page/large sized blue prints for others if they wish. (I am sure you will be harassed for a set by many) These absolutely beat looking at little pieces of paper cut into 3 sections. You can take a blue print and spread it out or tack it up on the wall for quick reference. I am sure these diagrams cross over to other years. I am keeping a 1993 GTS set for myself, but would consider getting blue prints made for others who may want a set.

I have the following:

2 sets
Wiring Diagram Type 928 S Model 89 (1989)

All pages except Sheet 1 - Lights ROW
Sheet 7 - Seat and Mirror Memory

1 set
Wiring Diagram Type 928 S4/GT Model 91 (1991)

All pages except Sheet 1 - Lights ROW
Sheet 8 - Radio, Telephone

1 set
Wiring Diagram Type 928 GTS Model 94 (1994)

All pages except Sheet 1 - Lights ROW
Sheet 6 - Outside Mirror, Power Seat
Sheet 7 - Seat and Mirror Memory
Sheet 8 - Radio Telephone
Sheet 13 - Constr. Components
Sheet 14 - Plug Connections, Ground Points, M-Numbers,
Abbreviations.

To have these produced would cost more than you would want to pay and forget about the rarity of actually owning an original set distributed by Porsche to their training programs. I can certainly get more for them, but we are brothers here and I just am making this worth my time. I will sell these at $50.00 a set plus shipping and packing costs.

I hadn’t gotten blue prints made from vellums since my contracting days, but I would expect the cost to be more than $50.00 nowadays..vellums, who the heck knows!

If you buy a set, spread the love!

First PM's get them. I will ask the winners if I can post there name so that others may request blue prints from the vellums.

Here are some pictures to show you what they look like...

For those reading at home--

Vellums like this are a semi-transparent positive format media used when you need to make bluelines. They will also go through a large-format copier directly to make either direct paper copies or more vellums. The roll of drawings in Keith's pictures looks like they might be Mylar instead of vellum. Mylar is more durable, but it's subject to scratching. Most Kinkos locations have large-format copiers, while the blueprint machines are fast becomming obsolete because of those annoying ammonia fumes. The copiers will print directly in black, which can be easier to read than the bluelines.

The bottom image shows how much clearer these pages are, compared with the WSM pages that are like poor FAX copies, relatively.

Anyone who has traced 928 circuits under a magnifying lamp knows what a benefit these would be for troubleshooting. They are also a great base for some nice 928 garage wallpaper.

These will be a great buy for a collector!

Hey, that's kinda cool.

So 'vellums' are images printed onto clear plastic?

edit - posted this just as Dr. Bob posted his.

****, Thanks Bob, I meant Mylars...geeez, vellum are thinner and not clear film...similiar to what sepia's are printed on.

I think these are all spoken for at this time. If there are any other 1993GTS owners out there that would be interested in blue prints (or black) I would be willing to make a run of several sets to those who wanted. You would pay for all costs. Just PM me.

EDITED- you can go to a blue printing shop and get black lines made for a whole lot less. I just got a full set of black lines made for my 1993 at $25.00.

Keith,

I'd like a set of prints for a '93. If I remember correctly, there's a set for the early '93s and another set for the later 93s. I have an early '93.

thanks,
Tom

Well Tom, you have me sctratchin' my head, I had no idea there were two sets of schematics for them. I can't even see that in the WSM. I will be happy to get a set of blacklines made for you if you would like, but they are going to be the regular old 1993 GTS version

Keith,

In my WSM wiring diagrams, there's a section for 1993 GTS, and following that, there's a section titled "1993/2 GTS". It says it's for VINs past WPO AA2 92 PS8 20 001 - I assume this is the cut off between early and late 93s.

Anyway, My VIN is below that, so the diagrams you have should be fine.

Thanks,
Tom
