Did I read this right. You used crimp connector to hook up the new injector ends? they shoudl be soldered and covered with heat shring tubing. If you can avoid, never used crimp connector outside of the cockpit. They are prone to corrosion and faliure.

This might not be the problem you are having but when the engine is all up and running, you should consider replacing the crimps.

I purchased a set of new ends, boots and connectors pain in the to get them to crip like from the factory. I even bought a $30 tool. I ordered the ones already assembled from e-bay I will srink tube the connections on these ones. I'm beginning to believe there maybe a wire shorting somewhere in the harness ,when it was all put together this time I will do one Inj and bank at a time and test.

It started

I replaced 3 injector connectors although I did not find any shorted wires after pealing back the wires about 1 inch. At first it started then would not restart than popped, I could smell gas. I checked the Ing pulse and no shorts were present, opened the Tb and it started after the fuel cleared out. Its one of these things that makes me apprehensive not finding a REAL PROBLEM. Wish me luck. I'm not totally convinced this was the problem it ran fine for 2-days and died. Maybe I'm just a cynic but I hate when you don't find a smoking gun!!

Well - take it as a victory for now! So you re-did some injector connectors but didn't find any issues with them? Were those the only ones you had to re-attach initially?

Let us know if it continues to be OK?

The rear Driver Injector was pretty stressed I added a new connector with pigtails this time. Originally making my own involved using extra pins after multiple attempts and crimping them in a very tight space results were OK. I was not concerned about the issue of shorting but maybe a marginal connection to the injector. I looked at all the connectors the very front and back on the drivers side need the extra lenght. One other connector did not seem to sit correctly so I replaced that one also. Keeping my fingers crossed I have been out 3 times to hear the car start now I need to put together the mess I created in the dash!

This has been a tough road so I hope you are finally able to put it behind you and get some miles on.

Default Almost there!

Ok time to ask the ? again:

How do you remove the plastic cover off of the wiring harness on the Lh connector ???????????????

Car started fine put everything back together in the fuse panel and now it will not start. I removed the LH connector and looked at the pins and on 13 it is a little cocked to the side. I played with it with a little screw driver and it fired up again. I'm assuming its not making a good contact or a wire may be broken somewhere in the harness. I need to remove the bundle from the connector I don't want to break anything anyone know how?
Maybe by replacing the pin or removing it to test for a broken wire would be a good idea. I'm not confident the Inj were the problem and this may reoccur if I do not do this right.
